  • Hotel + Flight Budle

    Hi, We booked 4 people on the Hotel + Flight bundle on expedia from Nairobi to Delhi for 5 days. The airline was Ethiopia Airlines , hotel The Suryaa. When we got to the Suryaa at 3am they claimed we had come too early and were informed our only option to wait on the lobby until 12 noon for chec. Alternativley we could cough up 12,000 INR get crammed into one room until check in time.   • Horrible Customer Service

    On Saturday December 3rd, 2016. I booked a hotel for the incorrect city. Once I contacted customer service regarding a change in location for the hotel the customer service representative was not understanding at all, and also cancelled the room that was already booked when no one had given any authorization to cancel any reservations. I also asked how long would a refund take so I could book another room that same night. I was told that the refund would take 5 days to be refunded to me.   • False promise & Pathetic after-sales service

    I recently booked a hotel from expedia which showed an offer online that included breakfast with the stay. But the email confirmation said nothing about the breakfast. On checking with the customer care executive who saw the offer flashing on expedia website, we were assured that we can pay for breakfast and claim for the same by sending the bill to expedia.   • Bait and Switch Airline Tickets

    I had purchased a bundle package through Expedia.com for $543 only to be charged $643 per ticket for an upcoming vacation. Expedia then sent my confirmation to a nonexistent e-mail account so after I was able to get it I was told it was to late to do anything about it.     read every other review about expedia on this site. They provide no avenue for resolution when something goes wrong with your booking. They have no internal governance and are obviously answerable to no authority. that's why they don't provide a customer service complaints avenue. just call centres designed to make you wait and give up. owned by Microsoft but do not even have an email address. says a lot about their commitment to customer services More...

  • Hotel Booking

    I booked a hotel through Expedia.com travelled the following night and as soon as I arrived at the hotel, was told that Expedia had not confirmed my reservation with the hotel... Felt like an idiot, receptionist phoned Expedia and was unsatisfied with the way they spoke to us plus the outcome in the end, at least an apology would be good but nothing. As a result was transferred to another hotel which was also very poor, card was blocked twice for no reason, customer service was poor. Worst weekend in Paris with 3 children. Cheers Expedia! More...

    I will never use expedia.com ever again to book travel which is unfortunate since we book 2-3 vacations a year. I just had to spend an extra $2600 for flights the day of our trip because I was on hold for so long with an incompetent rep trying to change our flight that expedia cancelled our flight and said there was nothing they could do. Our whole trip including hotel and transfers was $3000 so we almost doubled the price of our trip because of their incompetence.   • Flight Change Overcharge

    Will not be using Expedia to book flights again. Arrogant customer service with no intention to make up for their own mistakes and likely suspect of repeatedly overcharging customers. I tried to change a flight reservation and was clearly told over the phone that I'd be charged NT$3,500 which I agreed. I ended up being charged NT$4,496. I called in again to seek explanation and they told me it's because it was a credit card from overseas and I should have been aware of any additional charges that could imply.     Expedia spelled my name wrong on my ticket and refused to change it without me having cancel my ticket and re-issue my ticket with the new fare. They have hung up on me repeatedly and never called me back to help resolve the issue. When I gave up and requested a cancellation, they said it would take 8 weeks to get a refund. When I called back the next today because I never received a confirmation they told me that had no record me calling.     I booked a cruise via Expedia.com on 1/7/15 and received a confirmation email from Expedia at approximately 6pm on 1/7/15 confirming booking number 18803662 with a total of $846.88. On 1/8/15, I received an email from Expedia indicating that the credit card had been declined and booking number 18804253 totaling $848.88 would be cancelled if Expedia was not contacted by 1/7/2015.   • Expedia Stole my Money and will lose my business

    I booked a series of flights with expeida to conduct interviews with potential internship placements. During my trip one of my destinations was canceled due to inclement weather. I called Expedia to cancel this flight and continue on to my next destination. The service provider, Chet, said that it was done and I would be notified of the changes in a few days.   • Expedia gaining from currency conversion on car hire

    I booked a hire car for use in Australia from the UK, paying the full amount in sterling at the time of booking. Expedia apparently hung onto my money and only gave it to the car hire company just before I arrived in Australia. By that time the exchange rate had moved and the car hire company made me pay the difference. They said this happened all the time with Expedia.     Expedia is the absolute worst of the worst!! I cannot express how angry I am and disgusted by this website and their customer service. Where to begin, I booked a multiple city flight and 2 hours before I was to fly, I received an email saying 3 of my flights were cancelled.   • Expedia ducking and dodging about reimbursing my money.

    I booked a vacation package with Expedia 2/7/14. At the time I was told that everything was booked and got confirmation. When I arrived at the airport I was informed there was no booking for me and I had to purchase new tickets. When I tried to use my c/c I found that Expedia had charged me for the full package even though I only used the hotel.   • Expedia doesn't know what room they booked

    I recently booked a room with expedia. Upon arrival I was given a non-smoking queen room. I booked a double queen suite. The hotel explained that expedia refuses to change their room code because it doesn't match what Microtel uses. I called customer service the next morning and explained the situation and asked about being compensated for not getting my room and having to change rooms.
