METRO PLAZA HOTEL LOS ANGELES


Upon arrival at the hotel, the entrance to the hotel parking lot was unattended. We had to get out of their vehicle and ask the hotel clerk what to do. We were told to back up onto the street and then enter through the narrow EXIT.

%uF0FC There was hair on the carpeting and floors of the room, really disgusting!

%uF0FC The beds were so uncomfortable that they had trouble sleeping. I felt something crawling on my arm, it was a large, black spider which we knocked off and killed.

%uF0FC The room A/C never worked really well and it was HOT and HUMID. (After a day of sightseeing and driving, this was a huge let-down.)

%uF0FC The %u201CContinental Breakfast%u201D was substandard (for example, the bananas were over-ripe, brown and soft.)

%uF0FC The charge for the room was supposed to be $119.00, $137.95 after taxes (all charges inclusive in the quoted price). It WAS NOT! After a room tax of $19.46, an L.A. Tourism Assessment Fee of $2.09 and a Parking Fee of $4.00 were added, the Total Bill charged was: $164.50. The revised total also included a $10.00 %u201Cextra person%u201D charge . The hotel clerk insisted that the reservation was for 2 adults, not 3.

We ha a 4th child under-14 on this trip and the hotel added another charge onto their bill.

Overall, this was a horrible experience for my family and they advised me that they would never stay at this hotel again. They would (kindly) give this hotel a 2-Star (**) rating.
