expedia.com Complaint
Scam, Scam, Scam, READ THE FINE PRINT. - car rental
I was charged 3times more just because I didn't read the fine print. I booked a 12 passenger van with room for 8 suitcases and unlimited mileage a month in advance.
I have an Ontario Driving licence and I rented a van from Ontario and my final bill was almost 3 times more than the advertised price. I was told that since I am resident of Ontario therefore I had to pay for the extra mileage, anything more than 200km/day. I rented this van just because it was advertised as unlimited mileage. When I booked this van I was asked for my address which it was clearly Ontario and they send me an email with the estimate price which was the same as the advertised price .
By the way at the day of pick up I was given a smaller van. I called expedia and they had me on the phone for 3 hours and at the end I was told that they were not responsible for the services, they are just selling it.
Do not trust these guys and if you buy from them make sure you read the long page of fine print cause this is how they get you
