Very disappointed
I've had some pretty bad service previously with expedia prior to this event and in return received a $50 off coupon which was very nice. I'm not the type of person to complain to receive things, and to be honest, this is my first review I have written.
I called customer service to see if they could help me pick a room at Myrtle beach since I've never been and the beach is 60 miles long. The representative asked where my budget was and I said $100-$150. He said he would hook me up with something he thought was fitting and cheaper! Deal! When we got to the payment he said he was not able to use my coupon for this deal. ??? I paid anyway. Upon arriving, we drove up to our destination only to see a roach motel in front of us. Giving the benefit of doubt we proceed, having to pay additional hotel fees upfront. The room was AWFUL!! There was zero hot water, stained sheets, hair and mold in the bathroom, and literally everywhere. Half the lighting worked, screaming neighbors, I could go on and on about the cleanliness. I was very disappointed since I was reuniting with my military husband, only to spend our time in this mess. I put my trust in expedia, and they let me down once again. I'll never use this site or recommend it again. Please do your research and allow your policies to be clear to all of your employees!
